应学院邀请,同济大学Gregory MacRae教授于2019年5月31日到访新葡的京集团3512vip首页,在博学馆五层会议室做了题为“New Zealand Seismic Design of Buildings and Some Research Studies”的学术报告,由董晓强副院长主持,土木系师生100余人到场参加。
MacRae教授在分析了新西兰地理环境和地震来源的基础上,介绍了新西兰建筑抗震设计原则、方法及抗震研究进展,概述了近年来抗震设计的创新方法和创新结构形式,最后探讨了如何采取合理的措施来进行地震后的建筑修复或重建。汇报结束后,MacRae教授与到场的老师及研究生展开了热烈讨论,同时也表达出了与新葡的京集团3512vip首页开展针对建筑抗震设计合作的意愿。
Gregory MacRae obtained his PhD from the Univ. of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand in 1990. He is working at Tongji University, Shanghai, during 2019 and is PI for the ILEE ROBUST Project. His current research topics focus on resilient structures, structural steel, non-linear structural dynamics, and decision-support tools. MacRae has chaired the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Seismic Effects Committee, and has been an associate editor for the ASCE Journal of Structural Engineering. He has been senior advisor to the World Seismic Safety Initiative (WSSI) board, member of the management committee of the NZ Structural Engineering Society, board member of the NZ Quake Centre, chair of the University of Canterbury structural engineering cluster, and NZ representative to the International Association of Earthquake Engineering.
